Check out Tiergarten, Grunewald, Wannsee, Berliner Ensemble and the Staatsoper just for starters! You will also find that it is a vibrant centre for start-ups and technology companies, with many multi-national companies building new premises in the city, including Tesla, Siemens Energy and PULP Creative . This offers our students excellent networking and career opportunities.
Studying in Berlin
The college opened in 2024 – and is based within SRH University Berlin’s beautiful waterfront campus, in Sonnenallee, right in the vibrant heart of Neukölln.
There is an excellent range of facilities on site including places to eat, our library, student services and public transport connections.
The modern and easily accessible facilities promote learning within an inspiring atmosphere. creative neighbourhood of music studios, design agencies and art projects
Where to Study on Campus
There are several great places to study on our campus. The library is naturally a good option as it is quiet with access to study resources.
Places to Eat
Thanks to its proximity to trendy cafés, galleries and cultural centres, the campus location offers you ideal conditions to realise your personal and professional goals. After lectures and study sessions why not check out the famous Burgermeister’s which has eight locations in the city? Or Konnopke’s which is famous for it’s currywurst!
Accommodation
SRH International College in Berlin offers links to a range of accommodation options within the city alongside a choice of societies and clubs, which means you will have an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
We encourage you to allow plenty of time to find accommodation before you begin your studies – ideally 1-2 months – and consider using a short-term accommodation in the beginning. SRH University can support you in your search for accommodation in the city as there are not currently places available in the city’s halls of residence.
Student Life in Berlin
Our capital city is an amazing place to live as a student, offering rewarding life experiences, endless learning and career opportunities, as well as an creative lifestyle . There are many things to do in Berlin, including:
- Have a picnic in the beautiful parks and gardens, like Tiergarten, Tempelhof, and Schlossgarten
- Or explore monuments and art, such as the Brandenburg Gate and Check-Point Charlie
- Experience the nightlife on offer in the Prater Garten – which is part of the oldest beer garden in Berlin
- Taste classic German dishes including: the vegetarian Spätzle – made of eggs, fizzy water, and flour and served with a huge amount of cheese; or Currywurst – fried sausage dipped in ketchup seasoned with curry!
- See the colourful street art in the graffiti-laden streets of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain
- Check out the events or browse the flea markets hosted at Mauerpark and Boxhagener Platz
Berlin also hosts a wide range of events as part of an active cultural scene with plenty of concerts, theatres, and cinemas. Some of the most well know international events include: The Berlin Fashion Week, International Green Week and Berlin International Film festival.
Getting around the city is easy, by foot or by the various public transport options including the S-Bahn and U-Bahn, but one of the best ways to explore is by bike!
